Knowledge and Skills for Postsecondary Students
When young adults graduate from secondary school programs, they often move into postsecondary learning environments – either continuing their academic training or pursuing specific vocational skills training. Likewise, adults who’ve lost vision or whose jobs have become obsolete or redundant will often move into or re-enter postsecondary learning environments of interest to re-career or to re-invigorate their current employment situation.
These training opportunities require basic, entry-level knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) in the area where you want to study. To determine what KSAs will be required to enter the program you are interested in pursuing, you will need to do research into the training program and find out what the entry requirements for admission are. This section includes overviews of academic and vocational training options as well as checklists that will help you assess your preparedness for either of these educational paths.
